A Field of Memories

I often see old abandon houses and i wonder what kind of history they bring..The pic of this house was taken when kristie and I was coming back from tennessee..

Wouldn't it be cool to have a house with a microchip inside of it that recorded video of all the happenings in the past? Ok that's kinda way out there. Haha. The stories it could tell...

I feel the same way when I see old houses. You wonder about the people that lived there, their dreams, hopes, successes.

And when I see an old house like that with a beautiful view and no Wla'Mart for 30 miles, I want to pack it up and move in, make my meager living from some Internet business, write, paint, live. With satelitte TV of course. Alan

Amelia- That is not so cool as scary, sound amazingly like "1984" and is around the corner. Right now a huge number of people have web cmas and are usually amazed to find out how easy a hacker can turn the camera on and see everything in it's view 24/7. But I get the point. As I look at my daughter's first grade work and my deceased Dad's pocketknife and things that have 'sentimental value' I often think how my daughter ot her kids will let these things slip away, and how cool would it be if I had the things my ancestors valued still around. I may post about this on Laid Back Think Tank. Alan

That old abandoned house still looks good enough to be a useful dwelling, at least on the outside. I agree it always makes me think of previous occupant when I see a derelict house too, they must of had their hopes and dreams.
